Dr. Theoharides, one of TMS’s Medical Advisory Board members, has been investigating the pathophysiologic role of brain mast cells. In doing so, it is important to determine if there are specific associations with distinct central nervous system diseases.
Could you please let us know if you or any of your children have been diagnosed with autism or an Autistic Spectrum Disorder (for example, Asperger syndrome)? Please include you or your child's current age, age at time of diagnosis, and how/where diagnosis was made (for example: Currently 9 years old, diagnosed at age 3, diagnosed by Child Development Clinic, department of Neurology at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia).
