TMS to Appear at 2005 AAAAI Meeting

February 22, 2005

- Gigi (Regis) Park, Former Research Committee Chair

It’s an exciting time for TMS as we grow our organization and cultivate new opportunities to educate patients and professionals alike. The Board of Directors and the Research Team are very pleased to announce that the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology (AAAAI) has awarded TMS complimentary exhibit space at their upcoming 2005 annual meeting in San Antonio, Texas, March 18-22nd. Attending the meeting and representing TMS at the informational booth will be Emily Tidball, Board of Directors/ Public Relations & Fundraising Chair and Gigi Park, Research Chair. Texas-local Wanda Hermann, Board of Directors, will also play an important role in our effort to put forth a professional presentation.

Backed by letters of support from long-time friends Drs. Joseph Butter. eld (Mayo Clinic, MN) and Mariana Castells (Brigham & Womens/Harvard Medical School), AAAAI representative Katie Ferguson notified us that "the Executive Committee unanimously approved The Mastocytosis Society" for inclusion at this year’s meeting. Each year the organization grants a small number of nonpro. t organizations this incredible opportunity, quite an accomplishment for TMS!

With over 7,000 members, representing the largest professional organization of its kind, the most prominent physicians in allergy, asthma, and immunology will gather in San Antonio for the 2005 Annual Meeting.
