BOARD ANNOUNCES 2007 GRANTS RECEIVED

(Sept. 13, 2007) The TMS Board of Directors announces that it has applied for, and been awarded, three grants to be used for education, awareness, and conference expenses!

Azur Pharma, makers of Gastrocrom, were the first to renew our annual educational grant, and this year they increased the amount to $4,500.00 in response to information supplied in the application about new TMS initiatives.

Genentech, maker of Xolair, gave us a $2,000.00 grant specifically to use for the 2007 Annual Conference.

Dey, Inc., maker of EpiPens and Zyflo (in conjunction with Critical Therapeutics) awarded us a $5,000.00 educational/conference grant.

Grant submissions were prepared by Valerie M. Slee and J.J Boyle with help from Emily Menard. There are still a few grant submissions pending. We are delighted with the assistance and support provided by these pharmaceutical companies that make the medications that we depend on! We are already looking forward to ways to make these funds do the most good for our members!

TMS BOARD APPOINTS NEW SECRETARY

(June 21, 2007) TMS has a new Secretary! Lisa Kenny has been appointed the new TMS secretary, as a non-board position. Lisa can be reached at lkenny@tmsforacure.org.
